About the tests

GMAT / GRE

The GMAT and GRE are both standardised tests commonly used for graduate-level admissions. The choice of which test to take depends on the requirements of the graduate program. The GMAT has four sections (Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning), while the GRE has six sections (two verbal reasoning, two quantitative reasoning, and two analytical writing tasks). The GMAT is scored on a scale of 200-800, and the GRE is scored on a scale of 130-170 for each verbal and quantitative section. The GMAT is 3.5 hours long, while the GRE is 3 hours and 45 minutes long.

About the tests

MCAT / GAMSAT

The MCAT is a standardised exam used for medical school admissions in the US and Canada, while the GAMSAT is a similar test for graduate-entry medical programs in Australia and the UK. The MCAT assesses problem-solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioural, and social sciences. It is a computer-based, multiple-choice test divided into four sections: BBLS, CPBS, PSBB, and CARS. The test is administered multiple times per year and takes about 7.5 hours to complete. MCAT scores range from 472 to 528 and are a significant factor in evaluating applicants. The GAMSAT is scored on a scale of 0 to 100 and is used by medical schools along with other factors for admissions.

About

LNAT

The LSAT is a standardised test required for admission to law schools in the United States, Canada, and other countries. It measures skills essential for success in law school, including reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and logical reasoning. The test consists of six sections: one reading comprehension, one analytical reasoning, and four logical reasoning. It is administered four times a year and takes about three and a half hours to complete. Law schools consider the LSAT score as a major factor in evaluating applicants. The test also includes a writing sample, which is sent to law schools with the application. Administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), the LSAT is widely accepted and mandatory for most law schools worldwide.
