What is GAMSAT?

    The Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) is an admissions test required for entry to graduate medical programs in Australia, and to some postgraduate medical programs in the UK.

    Entire test takes 5 hours and 15 minutes.

    The test consists of 3 sections: Reasoning in Humanities and Social Science, Written Communication, and Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences.

    It is also accepted by Duke-NUS as an alternative to the MCAT.

GAMSAT Test Format

The test consists of 3 sections: Reasoning in Humanities and Social Science, Written Communication, and Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences.

Section I: Reasoning in Humanities and Social Science

Interpretation and understanding of ideas in social and cultural contexts.

Section II: Written Communication

Produce and develop ideas in writing, pertaining to both socio-cultural issues, as well as more personal and social issues.

Section III: Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences

Problem solving within a scientific context, using first-year university knowledge of Chemistry and Biology, and knowledge of Physics taught up to age 18.
