Icon Education was founded in 1999. That makes us Singapore’s pioneer in test preparation and admissions coaching.

ii. Who are your coaches, and what are their credentials?

Our coaches are a key part of what makes us unique. We bring together a team with exceptional academic backgrounds and extensive international education experience. This includes former admissions officers and alumni interviewers from top-tier universities, as well as Masters and PhD holders.
Every coach is trained in our proprietary pedagogical system, refined through supporting over 30,000 students. This training ensures they're not only subject matter experts but also skilled strategists and communicators, dedicated to empowering you to excel.

We use a team-based approach. This means you’ll benefit from the insights of various specialists, all working together to support you at every stage of your journey. We also leverage technology, such as our proprietary blended learning platform, Gateway, to make your learning experience more personalised, effective, and engaging. i. What services do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive suite of services designed to guide you through every step of your educational journey:
  • Career Discovery: Personality profiling, career mapping, and portfolio building to help you define your path.
  • Skills Development: Targeted training in socio-emotional, communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills essential for success.
  • Test Preparation: Expert preparation for a wide range of standardised tests, including ISAT, UCAT, SAT, LNAT, MCAT, GAMSAT, GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS.
  • Admissions Coaching: Personalised guidance in school selection, personal statement writing, and interview preparation, along with support for Plan B strategies and scholarship applications.

ii. What is the cost of your services?

We understand that every student has unique needs and budgets. Our pricing structure reflects this, with options ranging from affordable, self-paced online courses (starting at US$99 per month) to highly personalised, one-on-one coaching packages (S$300-400 per hour). We’ll work with you to find the best fit.

iii. Do you offer any free resources?

Yes! We provide a range of free resources on our website to support your application journey. These include diagnostic tests, informative guides, and helpful tutorials on our YouTube channel.


iv. Do you offer one-to-one coaching? Is in-person coaching available, including house visits?

Yes, one-to-one coaching is a core part of our personalised approach. To provide the best learning environment, coaching sessions are held at our four conveniently located offices across Singapore, or online for students who prefer not to travel or are based overseas. We do not offer house visits.

v. How frequent are the sessions (e.g., daily, weekends)? Do you accommodate NS students with weekend availability?

We understand that your schedule, especially if you are an NS student, can be demanding. That’s why we offer flexible scheduling options, including weekend availability. Whether you need daily sessions, weekend-focused support, or a customised timetable, we’ll work with you to create a realistic plan that aligns with your preferred learning style, availability, and goals. vi. Do you offer group classes?

We offer a limited number of group classes throughout the year. To stay updated on these offerings, we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter for updates or check our website regularly.

i. What are your success rates for students using your services?

ii. Is there a guarantee of admission after using your paid services? What happens if I don’t meet my goal?

While we are proud of our strong track record, we believe in transparency. We cannot guarantee admission, as the final decision rests with the universities and depends on a holistic review of each applicant within a competitive pool. Any organisation claiming to guarantee admission should be approached with caution.

However, we are committed to your success. Our Money-Back Guarantee provides a partial refund if our services do not meet the standards outlined in our terms and conditions. More importantly, if you don’t achieve your initial goal, we’ll continue to support you by identifying areas for improvement and refining your strategy for future applications or exploring alternative pathways (Plan B).

D. Countries & Scholarships

i. Which countries do you specialise in guiding students to? Can I ask about countries not specifically listed?

We have a strong track record of guiding students to successful placements in universities across Singapore, the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

While these are our primary destinations, we also have experience guiding students to universities in other countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. If you have specific universities in mind that are not within our main regions, please don’t hesitate to ask! We’re happy to discuss your options and explore how we can tailor our guidance to your unique goals.

ii. Are there any scholarships available for international students?

In most cases, scholarships and financial aid are primarily available to domestic applicants. International students typically pay the full tuition fee.
However, scholarship opportunities for international students do exist, and eligibility criteria and application processes vary significantly between institutions. We strongly recommend that you check the official websites of your target universities for the most accurate and up-to-date information on scholarships that may be available to you.

E. Policies

i. Can I try a session for free before committing?

We offer a free, 30-minute consultation. This is an excellent opportunity for you to experience our coaching style firsthand, discuss your specific needs with our team, and determine if our services are the right fit before making a commitment.

ii. Can I withdraw if I change my mind?

Yes, you can withdraw from our services within 7 days of your initial purchase. If you choose to do so, you will receive a refund of the unused hours, less a 15% administrative fee.

iii. Can unused hours be refunded?

Yes, if you withdraw from our services within 7 days of your initial purchase. We are unable to provide refunds for unused hours after the 7-day withdrawal period. However, to provide flexibility, you may transfer any remaining unused hours to a member of your family or a friend.
